Sailfish Open: Nationally televised fishing tournament coming to Palm Beach County - South Florida Sun Fishing USA

The sailfish are biting, and a nationally televised fishing tournament is coming to town.

Palm Beach County next week hosts the Sailfish Open, the first time the four-year-old tournament will be held outside of Duck Key.

The county is known for good sailfishing, tournament spokeswoman Sheri Richards said.

Televised on NBC, the Sailfish Open is expected to draw more than 30 teams fishing for prize money and contributions to charity. Last year, it awarded $250,000.

The tournament will take place Feb.1-3 at several marinas. Get more information at http://www.sailfishopen.com.
