Wally Pettet Memorial Trophy Two Day Match - September 15th/16th
AFTER 10 hours of fishing over the two days at Charmouth (5pm-10pm), Lea Windsor held on to a good start from the first evening of fishing to take the Wally Pettet Memorial Trophy. His catch of pollack, pout and ballan wrasse gave him a slight lead with only a few grams dividing the top six positions.
He increased this on day two to win by 405grms from Dave Cornick with Steve Harwood third ahead of first lady Lynn Mudford who was fourth.
Only five different species were caught, well down on last year, with ragworm and mackerel the top bait.

West Bexington Thursday, September 20th (7pm-10:30pm)
The fishing proved to be very patchy with the east side producing a few more fish. Seven species were caught with Tony Colls catching a new club record undulate ray of 4130grms; this is a rare catch on Chesil beach.
1st: Tony Colls 6435grms 1 undulate ray 3 dogfish 1 mackerel 2 pout, 2nd: Steve Harwood 3460grms 5 dogfish, 3rd: Lea Windsor 3090grms 4 dogfish 1 pout, Heaviest fish pool: Tony Colls Undulate Ray 4130grms, Species pool: Phil Maggs (4).
West Bexington Sunday, September 9th (1-6pm)
Plenty of mackerel were caught using pop ups or sliding float tactics.
A few small plaice were caught at the start of the match but as the tide dropped the fishing became very slow.
1st: Adam Cullingford 2500grms 6 mackerel 2 garfish 1 plaice, 2nd: Dave Cornick 2490grms 6 mackerel 1 golden grey mullet, 3rd: Craig Horton 2120grms 6 mackerel 1 plaice, Heaviest fish pool: Dave Cornick golden grey mullet 715grms (weighed and returned), Species pool: Simon Bowditch (2).
West Bexington - Thursday, September 6th (7pm-10:30pm)
SEVENTEEN members fished on a warm calm evening with plenty of mackerel caught on spinners, floats and pop ups together with plaice, dabs, garfish, mullet and scad.
As it became dark, dogfish and pout were caught and a couple of small smoothounds, which were weighed and released. In all, 14 different species were weighed in.

Andy Neal Rover - Saturday September 2nd
Twelve members signed-on to fish this match which was fished over a big spring tide with Chesil producing 11 different species.
Steve Harwood chose to fish Burton Bradstock to claim first place, which included two smoothounds which were weighed and released. Pop up rigs produced mackerel, pollack and scad.

3rd Heaviest: Craig Horton 3515grms, Best fish: (above bags removed) Keiron Ellison (J) dogfish 830grms, Most species: Phil Maggs 6 - dogfish, mackerel, scad, smoothound, poor cod, whiting, Top Lady: Lynn Mudford 830grms.
