MisAdventure - Teenage Love in the Backcountry
In anticipation of Valentine's Day, Cliff Jacobson retells one of his MisAdventure stories. This story finds Cliff guiding a group of 15-year olds on a canoe expedition into the backcountry. His humorous conclusion is that teenage "love" is one of the most dangerous things to contend with on a group expedition - the couple in his story might agree.

In The Same Boat
Winter. It was slow to arrive in much of Canoe Country, but it got there in the end. And spring can't come too soon. Of course, life doesn't stop just because local ponds and rivers are locked in ice. Winter has its delights, too, and that's what this edition of "Our Readers Write" is all about — exploring the pleasures of the off-season. Need a little help beating the midwinter blues? Then check out the latest offering from In the Same Boat.

Outfitter Photo Everglades Boat Assisted Kayak Eco Tour (FL)
by Everglades Area Tours
Everglades Area Tours opens the remote areas of Everglades National Park to the average person by using a dedicated kayak transport boat to comfortably transport its guests to the most remote and beautiful areas of the Park for a naturalist-led Kayak Eco Tour. This tour combines the best of a boat tour, the best of a kayaking tour and the best of a walking tour. Whisking comfortably along and fitted with complete safety equipment, a sunshade, six very stable kayaks and a full iced-cooler, you are brought to the places that most would take days of paddling just to reach. Product Review Spotlight
Tripper Canoe by Clipper Canoes
Test paddled lots of canoes before I purchased and the Tripper was by far the best performer for our type of paddling, mostly long flat water trips. Build and finish are top notch, we have taken huge hits in our finer glass Tripper and it stands up really well. This boat is really fast, none of my friends can keep up in their canoes... Rating: 10 of 10 by Ryan
