Guests will spend the evening with NASCAR celebrities and professional anglers including: Martin Truex, Jr., Regan Smith, Kevin Harvick, Tony Stewart and Kevin Van Dam. And they will enjoy southern cuisine, a silent auction, and entertainment provided by Nashville song writers Billy Montana and Kendell Marvel.

On Saturday, the bass tournament begins at 7:30 a.m. at Blythe Landing. Anglers may register late, Saturday from 5:30-6:30 a.m. Weigh-ins begin at 3:30 p.m., facilitated by BASS with special guest emcee Mark Zona.

Tournament winners will be determined by total weight (5 fish per team) and only large-mouth and spotted bass may be weighed. Fish must have a minimum length of 14 inches, and only artificial lures are permitted.

Anglers will compete for the grand prize, a 2011 Nitro Z9 boat equipped with a motor and electronics. Other prizes include cash awards, trolling motors, GPS systems, depth finders, rod and reel combos, digital cameras, and more than $60,000 in gift cards for those who win the top-12 spots. A consolation prize pack has been added this year, as well as three additional $500 prizes for top husband/wife team, senior citizen, and adult/child team.

A Chicken Port-O-Pit dinner will be served at Blythe Landing during the Saturday weigh-ins from 3-6 p.m. Tickets are $10, and fans, family and friends can eat with Ryan and Krissie Newman and other NASCAR celebrities, shop vendor stands and participate in a 50/50 raffle.

The event is hosted by Visit Lake Norman. Last year’s event drew 256 anglers from 5 different states.
