Samoan crew member found dead on Alaska fishing vessel

A man believed to be Samoan was found dead on board a fishing vessel docked in Dutch Harbor, Alaska last week and an autopsy is being performed to determine the cause of death.

Anchorage Daily News reports that fellow crewmen found Sui Filisi, 37, dead last Wednesday onboard the catcher-processor Alaska Warrior and  Filisi's body was sent to Anchorage for an autopsy.

Police interviewed all of the Alaska Warrior's crew, took pictures of the area where Filisi was found and further processed the scene. They found nothing outwardly suspicious, the newspaper reports.

The Alaska Warrior, a 215-foot vessel, is owned by Seattle-based Fishing Company of Alaska.
