CMR certifies saltwater fishing records - Fishing - SunHerald.com#

BILOXI --The Commission on Marine Resources (CMR) certified four Mississippi recreational saltwater fishing records during its November meeting.

Mark Herrmann of Gulfport broke the state conventional tackle record for Blackfin Tuna with a 33-pound, .8-ounce fish on May 7, 2011.

Jonathan Stanley of Biloxi broke the state conventional tackle record for Atlantic Cutlassfish with a 2-pound, 9.44-ounce fish on July 16, 2011.

MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF MARINE RESOURCES Mark Herrmann of Gulfport broke the state conventional tackle record for Blackfin Tuna with a 33 pound, 8-ounce fish on May 7, 2011.

David Kuehn of Gautier broke the state conventional tackle record for Vermillion Snapper with a 5-pound, 1-ounce fish on October 11, 2011.

Don Abrams of Ocean Springs broke the state fly-fishing record for Lemon Shark with an 11-pound, 15-ounce fish on October 15, 2011.
